One of Nigeria’s leading researchers, Professor John Alechenu Idoko, has asked government authorities and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to equip African youths with the right tools to combat the scourge of HIV/AIDS.

Speaking in Kigali, Rwanda at the 20th International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA), Professor Idoko decried the increase in HIV incidences in Africans between the ages of 15 to 24, as latest forecast from UN agencies shows that it is unlikely the Africa will be able to reduce the rate of infection in young people by the year 2030.

The 20th International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA) was held in Kigali, Rwanda from 2nd to 7th December 2019
